Review: monitoring visitor use
Part of the ongoing work at Flanders Moss will be to record the effectiveness of the interpretation that is produced and the level of visitor satisfaction from site visits. This cannot be done by one method alone but a variety of methods can be used to gauge the audience.
Visitor numbers visiting the site will be recorded using:
- vehicle counters
- people counters.
Visitor opinions arising from site visits and / or off-site interpretation will be gathered through:
- on-site self completion and interview questionnaires
- off-site questionnaires in local communities,
- requests for feedback from interpretation articles, newsletters
Web-site feedback will reach the virtual audience of Flanders Moss, those who visit the web-site for virtual information and those who use the web-site for preparatory pre-visit information.
