Who's it for?

Anyone with an interest in communicating the benefits of biodiversity.

The broad aim of the Toolkit is to offer biodiversity stakeholders like you one useful resource that helps you include biodiversity messages in your communications.

The guidance within the Toolkit can be used as a standalone strategy. But the information can also be integrated into your organisation's existing communications strategy.

We believe that biodiversity communications should put people at the heart of everything and encourage enjoyment of the outdoors, raise public awareness and understanding of biodiversity and secure positive action by individuals, organisations and governments.

The Toolkit has been guided by the Scottish Biodiversity Strategy - "Scotland's Biodiversity : It's In Your Hands" - http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2004/05/19366/37239

The vision of the Scottish Biodiversity Strategy is for Scotland to be a world leader in biodiversity conservation where everyone is involved and everyone benefits. Importantly, the Strategy places people at the heart of successful biodiversity conservation. Its success also lies in the support of stakeholders like you delivering consistent messages about the advantages of conserving biodiversity.
