To provide SNH with a continuing overview of the number and quality of Environmental Statement and the effectiveness of the EIA process, all EIA cases should be reported to Advisory Services Planning Adviser and Casework Support Officer. It would be helpful if copies of completed case logs and completed Environmental Statement Review forms (see Appendix 6) are sent to these advisers as soon as possible. Any specific problems encountered should be highlighted and cases where the process worked well should also be noted to help build a good practice casework record.

Further guidance on EIA casework and practice is available from your Advisory Services Planning Adviser and Casework Support Officer.
