
Participants in the CASS project are either partners or co-financiers.
Project partners provide funding and contribute staff time and expertise towards the project. In addition to being a partner, SNH also acts as the Project Beneficiary and as such is responsible for the overall project management and delivery of the agreed actions.
Project co-financiers contribute funding towards the delivery of one or more agreed actions.

responsible to the Scottish ministers. SNH is the statutory government agency responsible for the conservation and enhancement of Scotland's wildlife, habitats and landscapes. It advises on policies and promotes projects that aim to improve the natural heritage and support its sustainable use.

The ASFB is an unincorporated association to protect, preserve and develop salmon fisheries in Scotland. Its remit is to represent, co-ordinate and promote the interests of Scottish salmon and sea trout fisheries and generally to take such steps as may be desirable for the protection, preservation and development of salmon fisheries of Scotland and having regard for the environment and other flora and fauna.

The BDSFB is responsible for the general preservation and increase of salmon in the River Bladnoch.

The DDSFB is the statutory body charged with responsibility for the salmon and sea trout fishery in its district. The board carries out protection of the fishery by bailiffing, research into and monitoring of salmon and sea trout stocks in the fishery district, and improvement programmes to spawning habitat.
The EDSFB is the statutory body with responsibility for protection of the salmon and sea trout fishery on the South Esk, North Esk, and River Bervie.
FRS is an agency of the Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department (SEERAD) providing expert scientific and technical advice to government on marine and freshwater fisheries, aquaculture and the protection of the aquatic environment.

The Forestry Commission is the forestry department of the Scottish Executive advising on and implementing forestry policy. Its mission is to protect and expand Scotland's forests and woodlands and increase their value to society and the environment.

GFT was the first fisheries trust to be established in Scotland. It has a remit to administer the Rivers Luce, Bladnoch, Cree and Fleet, and works towards a variety of objectives, which are intended to conserve and enhance the biodiversity of aquatic ecosystems.

The KoSDSFB is responsible for the general preservation and increase of salmon in the River Oykel and its tributaries.
The NDSFB is responsible for the general preservation and increase of salmon in the River Ness and its tributaries.
The Scottish Executive is the administration in the UK responsible for the government of Scotland, except for those functions retained by the UK central government. The Environment and Rural Affairs Department of the Executive has responsibility for the implementation of the European Birds and Habitats Directives within Scotland, and for natural heritage issues in general.

The SFB is responsible for the general preservation and increase of salmon on the River Spey. The board employs a team of bailiffs who ensure compliance with regulations, deter poachers and run a hatchery for restocking depleted areas. The board also has a research arm-the Spey Research Trust which undertakes monitoring and public awareness.

The Tweed Foundation is a charitable trust set up by the River Tweed Commissioners to promote the development of salmon and trout stocks in the Tweed river system. It is engaged in an extensive programme of research, monitoring and habitat enhancement with the aim of protecting the Tweed's valuable fish stocks and maximising the river's natural productivity.

The Crown Estate represent property owned by the Crown, and own Fochabers Estate in the lower reaches of the Spey catchment. They are contributing to the removal of an obstacle on the tributary of the Spey.

Moray Council is the regional authority for parts of the River Spey catchment . They are contributing to culvert modifications on a tributary of the River Spey.
